Fabulously Sleek

Very often we walk past many of the various Make-up brands sold at Superdrug and dismiss them as cheap, cheerful and teenage. They serve there purpose but are not a staple in our Make-up bags...yet. Sleek is a great range at Superdrug which includes some high pigment eyeshadows and moisturising lip stains that could rival Mac and for less than half the price.

The tinted lip conditioner is only £4.30 and comes in a perfect range of colours from peach perfection (above) to a perfect plum and bright violet. Used alone or over a lipstick it's a great way to add a splash of colour without worrying about cracking lips.

The eye palettes are also one of this years best bargains at £6.49 for 12 colours. The acid palette is great for a summer full of festivals with a choice of fantastically bright colours from neon yellow to lime green. Keep lips and skin natural but go for it on the eyes with bold, thick lines.

Sparkle me up

It may be cold, wet and windy in London right now but it is in fact Spring and we're ready to sparkle. Topshop will take care of that with their beautiful sunbeam highlighter powder (£9)
With a lovely soft, creamy texture it glides on smoothly and leaves a pearlescent gold shimmer. It can be used on  the cheeks as a highlighter, as a light eyeshadow or all over the body to add a bit of spring sparkle.

In a cute star covered compact it will be £9 well spent and will last you through summer and beyond.

Bepanthen miracle eye cream

Bepanthen nappy care ointment, although primarily aimed at 1 year olds, is quickly becoming our new favourite bargain eye cream. After trying what feels like a million different moisturisers, serums and creams for the eyes, including the cheap and cheerful Bodyshop Vitamin E cream (love) to the ludicrously priced Chantecaille 'Nano gold energizing eye cream' which is made with real gold (because who doesn't want expensive metal on their face) nappy rash cream seems to be the answer.

The oily cream contains pro vitamin B5 which aids natural skin recovery and leaves a smooth finish. It also contains no perfumes or preservatives so is great for the delicate skin around the eyes. Go steady during the day as it does leave a wet look but as a night cream its perfect. After just a week of using it the skin feels as soft as...well, a babys bottom!

Be sure to use a small amount and rub in gently with your fourth or smallest finger, rubbing too aggresively will drag the skin and encourages wrinkles. It's also great for when trying to conceal stubborn spots which are dry or cracked. Rub a tiny amount onto the blemish before buffing over with concealer or foundation lightly with a brush.

Found in most supermarkets for around the £3 mark we wonder what the catch is!?

Nipple lips

With the constant change of weather at the moment and the forecast of the coldest May in 100 years (fabulous!) Cracked lips seems to be on the menu for many of  us. If you're a fellow Make-up junkie then you will have more lip balms, sticks and glosses than days in the year and here's one more to add to your cosmetics case...a must have. 'Original Nipple balm for lips'  by Dr Lipp has medical grade lanolin in, which is used on sore nipples during nursing and coincidentally does wonders for dry lips.

It's available from Space Nk for £11.50, once you try it they'll be no turning back. Say goodbye to dry bits and dry lips.

Paperself lashes

After being introduced to these amazingly intricate and beautiful lashes at London Fashion Week, we just can't get enough of them. The Chinese inspired designs range from spiders to flowers to under the sea themes and come in full strips for a dramatic look or in smaller sizes to accentuate the corners of your eyes. They are available online from zuneta.com and range from £10 to £12 which is a bargain considering the beautiful detailing.

If the floral and animal themed patterns aren't up your street then take this an an opportunity to support the 2012 olympics and order yourself a pair of the London Skyline lashes. To die for.

Under eye concealer

When the words Make-up artist and beauty blogger are mentioned they are very often followed by a barrage of beauty related questions. One which comes up most is ''How can I hide my dark circles?" this seems to be the thing that most women struggle with.

There are so many concealers, powders and highlighters out there and although products such as Touche Eclat from YSL (£24.50) seem to top most polls and Garnier tinted eye roll-on concealer (£5.08) is one of the best beauty bargains of the century, it really is a case of finding one which is best for your skin. If it's too dry for you it will crack and crease and if its too oily it will smudge throughout the day.

The most important thing when covering dark circles and bags under the eyes, is placement. There is no point whatsoever rubbing concealer around like night cream! Make sure that the product is covering ONLY the dark area you are trying to cover, it helps to use a concealer brush or even a lip brush to do this more precisely. If you then want to use a higlighter (needed most for people with sunken areas below the eye) make sure to put it on the deepest part of the circles, which will help even them out. If you use a highlighter all over the eyes it creates a look similar to sunglasses marks, which will become impossible to match with the rest of your skin tone.

So next time your wondering which under eye concealer to get, remember that in many cases, it's not what you've got... it's where you put it!

Katie Perry's transformation

Katy Perry looks nothing less than amazing in this cover shoot for interview magazine, possibly as she has been photo shopped within an inch of her life (and digitally merged with what seems like Megan Fox's face) This aside, absolutely loving what seems like a style mixture of Amy Winehouse and Elizabeth Taylor!
